Cimcorp, Tire Dream Factory

   In the ChinaGRTAE 2012, which dates from 15^th May to 17^th May, our journalists has tracked during the exhibition and performed some exclusive interviews to some tire manufacturers in and abroad. Cimcorp Oy from Finland is one of them.

   As pioneer of automation technology in Finland, Cimcorp has done excellent contribution to automation industry in the world. Meanwhile, as an automation supplier in tyre industry, we have a deep knowledge to every field of tyre industry and developed specific robots system, which are very popular with our customers.

   Every tyre producer has its own technology and skill, which offer them different layout in the factory. These layouts have their own characters, but because of certain restrictions, these layouts cannot reach an optimal effect. To meet demands of many customers, Cimcorp comes into the concept of “Dream factory”. If factories adopt the concept of “Dream factoty” at the beginning of construction, they can process material flow easily and get the biggest efficiency.

   Many companies said that they can manufacture industrial robots, but when it comes to the practical use, things become more complicated. Take Cimcorp’s new gantry robot as example, it can capture one, two, many or even a whole stack of tyres at one time. This seemingly simple operation contains the technical core of Cimcorp. Because each stack has different tyre sizes, it is a technical knowhow to capture certain tyres successfully and not damage the tyres. This is an obvious advantage of Cimcorp comparing with other companies and this is also a result of Cimcorp’s researching and innovation.

   4.I have heard that RMT of Canada has been merged into Cimcorp. What kind of help it can bring to Cimcorp?
   Just now we have mentioned the concept of “Dream factoty”, and also because of all kinds of limits, some area could not copy the concept of “Dream factory”. But the “ADAW AGV” robot can just make up this flaw with its flexibility and it is a good contribution to Cimcorp.

   Yes, Chinese factories have the most advanced equipments, but they have not coordinated them with the most advanced methods. So these equipments cannot do their best, which becomes a bottleneck for the development of the factories. In return, the automation system of Cimcorp can combine the biggest potency of every equipment and improve their core competitiveness.

   In this exhibition we are presenting a new faster and more energy-efficient tire-handling robot. This robot is made of aluminum, whose weight is only 1/3 of steel, which reduce the weight of robot and make the movement lighter. In this way, we can make a lower energy consumption during the operation. And we are also the first robot manufacturer which introduce braking feature into our new robot concept. With this new technology, energy generated in braking will be returned to the network and used again. This is a good way to save energy.
